Official Rules

 

Only films which meet the following criteria are eligible to participate in the Femme Filmmaker Showcase:

 

1.  Films should be submitted by and represented by a self identifying female who produced, directed, shot, written, or edited the project

2. Submitter should be over 18 years of age

3. Submitter must have rights to or written express permission from the rights holder individual or production company representative 

4. Films should be under 20 minutes in length

5. Films should be in exported 16:9 square pixels aspect ratio (can be a different aspect ratio with letter boxing) and be full HD, H264 or highest resolution possible if sent via email, Pro Res if sent via mail

6. All films sent by email should have a downloadable link via Dropbox, Wetransfer, Vimeo, or Googledrive

7. Film poster should be 4x6 with a 300 dpi minimum resolution 

8. Film or submitter must have some association with Chicago

9. Films can be any genre, independent or commercial, a trailer, or a work in progress

10. Submitter may enter more than one film to be considered, but only one film may be chosen per submitter

11. Selected films will be notified by August 26, 2017

12. Submitter should represent their film and be prepared to be involved in a Q&A session
